On 21 April 2019, Royal Thai Consulate-General led the Thai students in Xi'an to participate in the "3rd ASEAN Sport Day in Xi'an" at the Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). This year, the event is hosted by the Consulate-General of Malaysia.

In the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Tan Li Lung, Consul-General of Malaysia, and Mr. Xi Guang, Vice President of the XJTU delivered Welcoming Remarks. While, Mr. Hoy Pichravuth, Consul-General of Cambodia and Miss Oracha Tanakorn, Consul-General of Thailand delivered Remarks.

ASEAN Sport Day is the annual event aims at enhancing ASEAN community building, promoting unity in diversity and strengthening the cordial relations amongst the ASEAN students and expatriates in Xi'an. Also, the event provides opportunity for Consulate-Generals to update on their students' life. The year, the activities comprised sport competition, namely fulsal, dodgeball, mini games and tug-of-war. Overall participants from the 3 countries were around 300 people. Moreover, this year the Thai sport team also won the 1st prize.
